My goal as an oral maxillofacial radiologist is to help the clinician eliminate liability from interpretation errors, increase production and accepted treatment (via accurate interpretation), and build overall diagnostic confidence of the clinician. I am proud to say that I've always had a passion for general dentistry and continue to practice part time! I know the struggle every dentist faces when seeing that overwhelming image be it a Pan or CBCT. Let's face it, identifying even normal anatomy can get complicated, especially on a time crunch! Allow me to help you rule out those suspicious lesions, or even confirm what you may already suspect. By the way, my eye was trained to pay attention to subtle details that may indicate additional required treatment which has gone overlooked.
Hi, I am Dr. Chavez and I am honored to be your oral maxillofacial radiologist. I graduated from Texas A&M College fo Dentistry in 2020 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery. I practiced for 2 years in Fort Worth, Texas and thoroughly enjoyed honing my skills to treat dental emergencies and relieve patients of pain. I wanted to help my patients further by learning to understand imaging and how it applies to patient symptoms and care. I took a leap of faith and moved myself across the country to study oral maxillofacial radiology at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine. I completed my residency in 2024 and have since dedicated my time to treating patients, helping general dentists, traveling, and spending time with my dogs Cookie, Charlie, and Pepe.
